Hampshire-based Voice and Data Solutions Provider 2826 Ltd has recently been given the green light to supply, install and maintain a Hytera DMR digital radio solution for the Bedales School 120-acre Hampshire Estate.
The school is home to three campuses: Dunannie (the Pre-prep), Dunhurst (the Prep), and Bedales (the senior school).
The system will be used across the school’s grounds, which include girls’ and boys’ boarding houses and an array of sporting facilities, incorporating an indoor swimming pool, multi-gym, 8 indoor badminton courts, full-size floodlit AstroTurf, and 17 acres of sports fields.
The Hytera DMR system
The Hytera DMR system consists of a pair of UHF RD625 dual-slot base station repeaters with battery backup, offering seamless coverage across the entire estate. Hytera PD785 keypad and display handhelds were chosen for their IP67 robustness, long battery life, and colour display and keypad, allowing ease of use of functions such as individual, group, and emergency calls, text messaging, and lone worker alarms.
